The Commission on the Status of Women and Girls, a nonpartisan state agency, works in a culturally inclusive manner to promote equality and justice for all women and girls by advocating on their behalf with the Governor, the Legislature and other public policymakers, and by educating the public in the areas of economic equity including educational equity, access to health care including reproductive choice, violence against women and other key issue areas identified by the Commission as significantly affecting women and girls.
When women thrive, their families and communities prosper. Yet despite decades of progress, women still face persistent disparities on a range of issues, from economic security to health to participation in political leadership. By viewing women’s well-being as encompassing various distinct yet interrelated components, policymakers, advocates, service providers, and community members can begin to craft policy solutions that help make California a place where all women and their families can thrive.

The California Federation of Women’s Clubs (CFWC) is affiliated with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service for more than 126 years. The Clubs of CFWC are located throughout California with the primary purposes of carrying out charitable service programs, providing leadership opportunities, and enriching the lives of its members through personal growth.
The Dublin Historical Society is organized for the purpose to discover, collect and preserve documents and materials relevant to the history of Dublin and the surrounding area. The Society displays these materials at the Fletcher Coffman House and barn, 6659 Emerald Parkway, adjacent to Coffman Park. Further, the Society plays a role to identify, mark and encourage preservation of historic sites and buildings in and around Dublin.
